Set up cones in the shape of a ship, and scatter balls on the outside (the sea)
Choose 7 players to be pirates (give bibs) They start the game by standing on the ship (within the cones)
The rest of the players stand in space outside the ship (in the sea) These players are sharks.
The aim of the game is for the pirates to save the balls in the sea by running out and picking them up and bringing them back to the ship. They leave the ball there and go out to get another one.
The pirates have to avoid being tagged by the sharks. If tagged, they have to lie down and float until the game is over.
Time limit of 3 min per game.
Once game is over the bibs are handed to players that have not been pirates yet and the next game is then started.
Evasion technique: sidestep.
Two hands on the ball.
Step ball over to pick up.
