Set out 3 pairs of coloured cones, one pair on the right of the pitch, one pair on the left of the pitch and one in the centre of the pitch
Each teams players should be numbered off from right to left. This is the make them learn to stay beside each other.
When the coach calls one of the 3 colours , the 2 defensive team will line up at this pair of cones with the As (D1s) on the cones.
If the cones are on the left of the pitch, the defensive team line up to the right. If the cones are on the right of the pitch, the teams line up to the left. If the cones are in the centre of the pitch, the teams line up 3 each side
When the coach calls the cone colour, the 2 teams will run out and set themselves up in a defencive line,
The coach then call another colour and the 2 team re-align to this position, this is repeated a few times
