- defence we will be running inside of our 22
- Point of the defence is to bottle up the play in the backfield and prevent the ball from going wide.
- A and B and C jobs are the same
- first defender outside C line up tight to C. If ball goes to forwards pod make double tackle with C. If ball goes to 10 go for 10
-second defender outside C line up on the OUTSIDE shoulder of 10 (oppisite of drift defence). Run a hard line straight up and the crash into the ten
- defenders third or outside of C run hard line straight and then crash in to try and bottle up the play before the ball hits the wing or the fullback
- This defence only works if you run at 100%. You CANNOT BE LAZY!!!
- if the ball does end up going to the wing the 15 and 14 will run a hover defence accounting for the overlap
- the 9 will drift behind the defensive line and if the offensive breaks through the 9 and 15 should both be there to make the tackle
