HIGHWAY SET, NO SHIFT
WHO: Forwards
WHERE: Middle third of the field
OBJECTIVE: To make metres to set up for either an attacking play or to build pressure
Highway sets are for metre-eaters.
All player's "off the ball": hold shape and continue to call for a 'shift'. Create uncertainy and width for your opposing defenders.
Players in the highway "Channel": ball runners must 'straighten-up' each successive play / run forward to progress the ball. Both sides of teh ruck push-up with each tackle.
Two kicks available at the end of the set:
Danny's On: Attacking kick with objective to re-collect and score
Bopper's On: Defensive kick with depth - to jam opposing team in a back corner
