– Defender should position on the inside of the goaler, to force their drive wide and make it predictable.
– Defender to ‘attack’ every ball, i.e. contest each pass and attempt to secure intercept or tip.
– Step up and block/delay goaler as soon as they pass ball, forcing them wide and towards baseline. Don’t allow them an easy drive or easy front position.
