Drill 1:
This is a GA, GK, GS, GD specific drill. Blue (A) is defending against red (A) inside the D. Red (A) move forward quickly before cutting-back to near the hoop before blue (A) figures out what is happening. This is called a cutback. This drill is repeated 5x each player in rotating succession.
Drill 2:
This is a WD, WA, C specific drill. It si set out as above. Blue (F) has a ball. On their signal, the two players blue (D) and red (F) sprint forwards. Blue (D) catches the ball while red (F) has to stop at 1m and defend the player. The aim isnt to intercept the ball but to practice proper defensive techniques to limit obstruction and contact calls.
