DESCRIPTION

Discuss obstruction (1 metre away and NO hands when player is trying to shoot, allowed when shooting for defending).

In two equal teams using a full court, make successful passes to score into the hoop remembering obstruction rules, footwork rules and shooting skills used in drills. Remember the starting position for a game.

Progression for game:

  • Making set number of passes
  • remembering to mark at goal
  • Only certain members of a team can shoot (to improve overall shooting skills of all)
  • No talking during game to promote team work and accuracy of skill
  • start at opposite sides of team (as a real game would do to begin to introduce positions of players.)
  • Swap sides to reflect real game
