GOAL:
teaching the long hit
* make couples, each a ball
* on command trainer the 4 no 1's dribble and then do the long hit from dribbling.
* they run after there ball and wait with ball on other side line.
* trainer gives command for 2nd 4 players. They dribble and hit. The players on opposite side line try to trap that ball.
* then doing same thing from other line etc. you can also swap no 1-no 2 in row so all trap a ball as well. etc
* END GAME all 4 on one side play against each other. On your command they dribble and try to hit as fast as they can. Which ball hits the boarding first?
Focus on:
Ball dribbling position, let roll forward
Player takes distance by stepping away from ball with right foot, body turns quarter while stick goes into backswing.
Left foot steps at same level as ball, at right distance from ball, knees bent, back straight.
swing stick to ball. Swing stick around body, with the hands staying level with the hips. Follow through see the stick follow around the players body.
tip 1
NB for hit you power sources are arms, core rotation and legs. Thus important they learn to have ball far away to stretch to ball and swing stick half circle around them (baseball idea instead of golf)
Tip 2: if you want to hit the ball hard, you don't need to use power. it's important to focus on hitting the ball with the right technique
