Set up the normal pitch with a goal and D. Split the team in half - one half with bibs and one without. Normal games of hockey are going to be played but you are going to vary the numbers - 2 vs 2, 3 vs 1, 2 vs 3 etc. The first number you call out is always the attacking team and the second number is the defending team. The attacking team always start with the ball at the opposite end to the goal. Once you call out the numbers they have to be ready and quickly decide who goes to play. The defensive team can start on the base line but outside the D for safety. Have a run through and then swap the teams round. The objective of the attacking team is to score. The objective of the defending team is to carry the ball out and stop it on the attackers line (half way or 23m)
