DESCRIPTION

2 phase exercise.

2nd phase is dependent on the outcome of the first phase.

1st phase

Attackers (blue) play the ball from around the 23m to the defending yellows. This ball is to the played at match pace as if trying to play the the ball to the high forward.

The 3 attackers then move to apply pressure on to the defenders to turn the ball over/ force the play.

The defenders (yellows) are aiming to outlet (carry) to the 23m.

2nd phase

If the attackers turn over the ball they go towards goal with the intention of scoring. This will work on the defenders scramble defence as well (jump back)

The idea of the exercise is to look to force the play, both in direction and is speed. The attackers should work as a 3 and look to isolate the ball carrier.
