The exercise size begins with two forwards set up at the top of the D approximately in line with each post and two midfielders opposite them at the 22 metre line.
A feeder passes the ball square to either midfielder. The next pass is played towards one of the forwards. Then next pass is pass is laid off to the other midfielder. The final pass is swept towards the forward who has not touched the ball yet.
Every player should touch the ball.
It should be obvious whether you are going to be the forward who has the final deflection or lays the pass back to midfield. The deflector should make their lead as early as possible.
Lead in a curve, in front of the goalkeeper, facing the midfielders.
Both midfielder should pick up the ball on the move. The final delivery should be an accurate and powerful sweep.
