Players work in pairs, with one ball ball between four. The ball starts with one of the players outside the coned area. The ball is passed from a player outside the grid to one of the inside players making a lead run out of the area to receive. After the pass the outside players should run back into the coned area again. Meanwhile the other two players have both run outside of the grid - one to receive the lead pass and the other to support. Drill continues in this way.
It is important to try and make sure that the player running out does not leave the middle until the pass has been played. This means that the passer has to pace the pass carefully
