Hockey Drill Demonstration
A passing drill aimed to help players practice recieving the ball correctly.
The ball is passed from the middle towards either side (left on diagram), players then follow their pass, allowing the ball to continue moving from each side of the pitch. When the bell reaches the top of the 'D', the player in control is to take a shot at goal where the other two will be on the posts in case the shot is wide.
This drill can be difficult when first being taught. Allow players to start slowly and gradually build up to a match speed.
Demonstrations are very helpful with this drill as it is often difficult to explain effectively.
