For this game you will have four defenders who set up as they would in a live game and 6 attackers who set up outside of the shooting circle.
The attacking teams aim is the penetrate the shooting circle and score while being put under pressure by the defence. They will have to work hard to make the extra numbers count. While the desired outcome for this drill is for the attackers to score; the work on should be on recyling the ball and possesion of the ball. Using the extra numbers to move the ball around the circle to find gaps.
This drill also benefits the defence as they will have to work hard to prevent the attackers from scoring/ The defenders aim is to put the attackers under pressure, not diving into tackles and forcing the attackers back out of the circle. If the defenders win the ball they need to dribble the ball beyond the 25 to score a point. This will therefore help the defence practice breakouts for defensive situations.
