Goalscoring for the sideline

DESCRIPTION

  • Drill has 3 defenders and 4 attackers and a GK.
  • Aim of the drill is for the attackers to score and the defenders to get the ball past the 16 yard line.
  • Lifting the ball, reverse hitting and passing can be used in this drill also.

COACHING POINTS

  •  Four balls to be placed on the sideline to encourage players to take free hits quickly and place other teams under pressure.
  • Ensure drill is done at match pace.
