DESCRIPTION

Head/neck:

  • Look left/right (x3)
  • Move head side to side (x3)
  • Move head up and down (x3)

Shoulders/arms:

  • Roll shoulders back
  • Roll elbows back
  • Swing arms back (repeat forwards)

Back:

  • happy cat, sad cat (x5)
  • seal stretch ( see diagram)

Legs:

  • 5 pike toe touches
  • 5 straddle toe touches

Ankles:

  • Rotate ankles in both directions
  • Start at the head and work down the body
  • Ensure don’t jolt their neck

  • Emphasise strain points – don’t overstretch - Make sure stretch to individuals ability

  • Make sure there is adequate spacing – no one can touch each other

  • Make sure individuals can see and hear me clearly – project my voice

  • If can’t touch toes – aim to touch shins initially
