Week 1 - Stage 1
Coach is to feed the ball to the player waiting to enter zone 1, 1 v 1 game, if the blue team win the ball or kick the ball out then the ball is dead.
If the player gets through then he enters zone 2. The defenders in zone two are to wait on there cones until the game is in there zone.
Players are to think about how they want to enter each zone, left right central, paint a picture.
Next player to enter zone 1 - Positive control of the ball.
Stage 2 - Match play
Set up both teams the same.
Give each position a number - this way you have a number 1 for each team, number 2 for each team. Make the numbered players equal ability - so the when in the middle it is fair.
Number 1s in zone 1 - Coach feeds the ball to one player, he is to take it to zone 2.
If the other player wins it he goes to his zone 2.
points system to make it a contest.
Future state -
bring in the 5th player each team, waiting in zone 2, this way when the players enter zone 2 they have the option of a pass.
Bring in 5th palyer to zone 1 if odd numbers, so they should always get out of zone 1. This is the floating player, each drill they chnage teams.
Week 1 - stage 1
Encourage a good control of the ball, don't start until you have control, keep your head up between the zones, look where you are going.
Dont put the best player in the middle, just be winning it all the time.
Get the players waiting involved by shouting encouragment.
Stage 2 - Matchplay
When a player enters the next zone they get a point
Shot on target is a point
goal is a point,
Goal and past all defenders is 5 points.
