DESCRIPTION

  • 3 teams of 4 players.
  • Possession based game, 1 ball in the diamond shape.
  • 4 players keep the ball v 2 red players, 2 other red players stay in other diamond.
  • When red players win the ball they enter the diamond that they won the ball from and the team that lost it become the pressing 2 and 2 team.
  • Must make certain number of passes in 1 diamond before transferring to the other.
  • Player from opposite diamond, can dop into middle section to link double diagonal if needed.
  • Team that has least transfers against them after a certain time wins.

COACHING POINTS

  • Timing of double diagonal link
  • Ensuring vertical and diagonal options for ball carrier. 
  • Pressing getting to the ball, ball orientated pressure where possible.
  • If not possible then 1 presses the other blocks passing line(s).
