Purpose of excersise:
To improve our ability to press teams that play out from the back.
Two teams, one of 8 (Defenders/GK) and one of 6(Attackers)
Defending team sets up as a back 4 with the midfeild 3 taking the formation of a 4-2-3-1.
Attacking team sets up as a 4-2-3-1 with players in the relevant positions to where they will be playing on Saturday.
The phase of play starts with the Yellow GK placing the ball, ready to play out from the back. Yellow CB's split to the edge of the 18 and RB/LB Push on. Yellow team must try to play out from the back, but with the emphasis and coaching being centered on on the Blue team who is pressing.
The Blue team (Attacking/Pressing team) must maintain good shape and ensure they fulfil their individual role and responsibility. eg. 3 CM's getting tight and on the shoulder of opposing midfielder, front 3 making the play predictable and leaving the furthest man spare.
