An area about 5 metres by 3 metres is set up using cones. 2 goals are created with about 1 metre width on either end. Players are seperated into 2 teams who line up beside their goal. The coach rolls the ball into the centre of the area and 1 player from each team run towards it to gain posession. One player then becomes the attacker and one becomes the defender. The aim of each player is to shoot the ball into their goal, therefore they need to defend the other player and try to gain posession of the ball.
Teaching Points:
One coach sets up whilst the other explains, then both demonstrate.
If short on time set up 2 drills at once, also allowing maximim participation, interest and engagement from the players.
One coach on each drill.
