Throw - Touch- Catch - Can be done as a Warm up

DESCRIPTION

Set up in groups of 3 with 1 ball

Player 1 throws to Player 2

Player 2 touches the ball to Player 3

Player 3 catches and throws to Player 1

Progress

Use different parts of the body (chest, thigh, flick from foot etc) - look for clever touches (skill)

Both feet off the Ground

Get all groups to spread out in 1 big square

Play 3V1 so have to get touch past player 

DEVELOP INTO A SSG

Only way team can score is with Head/Volley

 

 

COACHING POINTS

Adjust feet and body position

Vary the speed of the throw (slow and fast)

Mix up types of throw (low, high, side, spin etc)

What part of the foot are the using

What part of the body COULD they use

3 S' - Different Surface - Different Service - Different Supply
