Playing Forward (transferring the ball)

Love the site, it's a fantastic learning tool!
Ian

DESCRIPTION

The players are split 3v3, in each half.

The aim of the session is for each team to keep possession but every time they "transfer" the ball from half to half they earn 1 point.

I used the word transfer rather play forwards as I believe it helped the players .

COACHING POINTS

visualize playing the ball from zone to zone

encourage the players to play forwards but recognise when to do this.

How can you get in a position to support your team? This was especially important when the ball was in the opposite half

Can you keep the ball moving? Either through a dribble or pass
