All players start by dribbling their soccer ball in a set space (size depends on # of kids, they should have to navigate around each other). The coach will then yell out a body part that the players have to stop the ball with. For example elbow, or knee, or sit on the ball, etc....
Make sure to have fun with it, ask the kids for suggestions of which body part to use. Pick silly body parts like the nose or the ear.
Encourage them to keep the ball close to them, if a player takes a long time to stop the ball ask them how they can stop quicker? Guide them to the correct answer which is by keeping the ball under control and close to them.
Create a resolution to develop your coaching confidence by seizing the opportunity to discover new drills, turn ideas into action and seek advice from the coaching community.
