Save the boundary

Thanks to Sportplan and their coaching tips, I can now coach with...
Horatius, Cricket Coach

DESCRIPTION

  • Fielders spread around the boundary
  • Coach hits the ball out towards the boundary
  • Fielder must attack the ball, collect and throw back in above the stumps.
  • Fielder next to fielder collecting the ball must fill in behind to the cover the collector.

Game

  • Fielders must save 10 shots hit out by the coach.
  • If the coach gets a boundary, reset the score to 0.

COACHING POINTS

  • Communicate! Who is attacking the ball? Who is covering behind?
  • Cover in behind.
  • Long barrier?
  • Throw in ABOVE the stumps.
