BEFORE WARM-UP - Start with a team chat with all kids.
- Do the roll
- Go over the rules (including the BUDDY system for toilets)
- Split kids into age groups.
LAY-UP DRILL.
SET-UP: Place two pancakes close to the basket for children to perform their two steps. Place a cone on the corner of the court and at the halfway mark like in the diagram.
When instructed to go, a child runs to the basket without the ball, performs a two-step layup, defensive slides to the cone in the corner, runs backwards to the next cone and joins the back of the line.
The next person goes once the person in front of them has done their two-step lay-up.
