COACHING POINTS

  • The basketball starts on the side of the two players, one of them goes on the blow of the whistle or the coaches indication of when to start like the word "Go!"
  • Player 1, will dribble through the cones and deliever a bounce pass to player 2. Player 2 will return the ball back to player one who should be giving an angle on either side for player 2 to give them the ball, they (Player 2) shall give a chest pass back to Player 1 who then will again pass it back to player 2 with another bounce pass setting them up to go forwards to be able to have momentum into driblling around the cones and the cycle will continue until the coach calls time.
  • This drill is designed to last 2-3 minutes maximum before adding a few stipulations and adaptations to the activity to keep it fresh and not make things boring
  • Adjustments to be made, will either be through changing the passing sequence or the way you have to go through the cones using different skill techniques each round of the activity.
