Offense takes the ball and dribbles any moves that they want to use to try to beat the defense. Defense is trying to beat them the direction they are going and turn them the other way. If offense beats the defense and gets past them then they slow down and let the defense get back in position. Once they go down the full court they come back up the other side with the offense on defense and defense on offense.
