DESCRIPTION

Me starting the defensive movement drill

 

Put class back in defensive stance and begin fire starters

Demonstrate this and then go around and correct further mistakes

Back to the front and demonstrate how to move properly in a defensive stance

Get class to practice forwards and backwards

Rest for 15 seconds

Back in to defensive stance and explain what happens when I point. Where I point each time is which way I want them to move in the defensive stance.

Carry out drill for 1 min and 15 second rest then once more for a minute then rest

COACHING POINTS

  • Project voice loud and clear
  • No talking!
  • Demonstrate movement in defensive stance
  • Instruct them to move for 1 min and rest for 15 seconds then for another minute

 

  1. Knees bent in line with the bum
  2. Back perfectly straight
  3. Hands in different positions
  4. Legs shoulder width apart
