I have thoroughly enjoyed using your site to help me with my coaching plans for my under 9's netball team.
Does anyone have a drill to encourage under 11's to come forward for a pass rather than asking for the overhead pass all the time as they are 'running away' from the ball in their haste to get to the circle?
In netball, my team is struggling to bring the ball up to the attackers through the middle third. We are struggling with the turnover from an interception. Can anyone give me any idea's for drills or tactics to help with this? Thanks, Laura Bevans x
Are there any drills that can help stop teams from panicing? We have a number of close games, and as soon as the team go in the lead, they panic and fall to pieces!
Hi, what do people think about defences "zoning" - keeping their attacking player (GA or GS) out of the circle? I notice not many teams use this strategy. Thank you.
i am a coach and umpire and recently i have come across the situation where players are taking a back line/side line throw in and when the player has released the ball is doesn't actually enter the court bounderies. i.e it just goes along the side line. in this case would the pass be deemed as a foul throw or would the player simpley retrieve the ball and reset to take the pass again. replies would be greatly appreciated. thankyou.
Any ideas on how to teach a senior team to cherish and convert turnover balls they create?
Hi, a netball mum newbie here. I was wondering what the difference is between an intercept and a turnover. It seems to me that an intercept is the same as a turnover (you intercept the ball and "turn over the centre-pass" so to speak). But there must be a distinction because I see the two terms used separately when they show the statistics during the ANZ Championship games. I'd love it if someone could explain it to me. Thanks, Isabella.
How does a team defend against opposition that pass into space extremely well. I teach my girls to stay in front of player as a defender but their passing is extremely on point and very difficult to intercept. Can you give me some suggestions.
I'm coaching a team for the first time on my own this year. So my question is what do I start with and include in the first training session? They are 13 year olds and I'm unaware of the ability.

Hi, i am predominantly a U12yrs coach but i want to transition in to coaching the high school girls. I love all these drills and session plans and have found them very helpful, but i am looking now for information on strategies used in netball eg/strategic positioning of players when changing from attacking to suddenly defending after a turnover, or when should the GA drop back . when to use a zone defence or side-on defence. All these questions that aren't covered by drills. Is there somewhere to get this info or is it just learn as u go. Thank you
