i'm new in netball as a school team coach. i dont have coaching manual, how do i coach basics?
Hi I am a first year coach of a 9 and under team.My girls are struggling with the concept of running to space and receiving a pass on the move while advancing the ball to our attacking third.It seems no matter how hard i try to implement drills for passing at practice, come game day the girls still group together and call for the ball standing still. Any ideas/drills anyone could suggest would be greatly appreciated. Regards Mark
How can I teach my 8 year olds to spread out when bringing the ball down the court?
My kids are 12 and they do not know how to move this always slows them down what do i do in training to get them to move?

We have an amazing team in our grade who is incredibly fast through the court. The GA seems to dominate both mid court and the goal circle. How or what tactics can I teach my defenders (10 year olds) to stop or slow her down?

Hi guysSo Iâm having a isssue with my GA and WA coming up way too high on our GK transitions. I keep telling the girls that they canât cross that transvers line so soon, let your teammates GK, GD, WD & C bring the ball down as your making there space crowded and making it a lot harder to for GA to get in the shooting circle. I have an u14 team who get the ball and move to quickly through the court hence they are always chasing the ball. How can I slow them down so they get more control? Iâve tried bands and getting them to reset so they are ready for the ball coming down the court but to no avail!!! Asked using Sportplan Mobile App
Hi Everyone I've been playing defence for a long time now, and only last Saturday did I start to play centre. It was during our warm up on that day, (before our game) when my coach told me that I would be playing centre. I agreed to do it, but the problem was that the other team was a really good and very fit team. I struggled a lot durig the game, and i felt like i was dying the whole time! Also because I had never played centre before I didn't know how to feed the ball into the goal circle. I also don't know how to defend on the goal circle. A netball player (Goal Defence) who was the anchor in the team was not recognised as a great team player and now that the season has started and I am the coach for this team, I see the kids would not pass the ball to her and is very indifferent towards her. This is coming from the parents of those kids. This little girl, with her dence skills drove the ball to other side and the team made their first score at interschool netball. She is under my wing now, how do I approach this situation and my response to the mum (ex netball captain) who has taken the time to watch every netball game.
I would like clarification regarding a rule and I can't seem to find it when going through the rule book.A pass is thrown within the field of play to another player, this player lands with one foot in the court, whilst the second landing foot lands on the sideline of the court. Is play deemed to continue, or is it deemed that the ball has gone out of play as the player has stepped in possession of the ball out of bounds.

I coach a group of 10 girls (8 yrs old) in the grade above netta (we call it Sub-minis but same rules as netta) I rotate them 4 def 2 c 4 attack (eg 3/4 each or 1/2 if they are center) I am having problems teaching them spaceing and who to lead into which spot etc. After our game on the weekend I thought I'ld try a different tack (was a bit loathed to do this as they may take it too literal) but I am wanting to split the court into "zones" for each position as a guide for them eg Center gets the middle "track" right down the court WA one side GA the other etc. has anyone tried this, will it make it worse any further suggestions......?????
Defending off court player.When a player in general play goes off court to improve her position , does the defender HAVE to allow her onto the court ? OR can she block her from returning. Eg shooter on one side of the circle goes off court around the goalpost and tries to return to court on the other side but defender {on court} blocks her from returning. Is this legal ???

What a fantastic tool. The Chalkboard and session tools make an unbelievable difference in making training plans in both time and organization. I will be instructing all of my assistant coaches that this tool must be used for all sessions during the season, so that we may build a club coaching resource library.
