I have thoroughly enjoyed using your site to help me with my coaching plans for my under 9's netball team.
id love some advice on any sytems for shooters in the ring. thanks %3A)
Hi can u give me some ideas on how the shooters would feed themselves closer towards the goal. What i mean is by passing the ball in and out 2 one person and moving closer 2 the goal at the same time . Something simple for girls aged 10.
What's the best way to mark shooter who feeds right in or steps in? Shooter passes back and forth to feeders, then if you come aroun, she steps in. Being on side allows her to step in. If she steps in & I've got my 3ft and she touches me, is this a contact on her part?
What's the best way to beat a zone defence
i coach an under 15s team and my gaolers are struggling to move in the ring. They seem only make straight leads and do not get in front. Are there any drills or advice to help my gaolers move efficiently in the ring?
I am not sure how to teach my girls how to defend a shooter who catches a pass with the splits and then sets up to shoot. Can anyone assist. Girls are aged 15 & 16yrsthanks
Whats a good drill to help with coming infront of their partners instead of the immediate thought of dropping back for a pass?
Hello - i am looking for a few GD tips on the best way to defend a shooter that receives the ball a couple of ways as i always struggle to get around them when they do these moves! First way is that the shooter lunges out very wide (practically doing the splits) to receive the ball from the feeder on the circle edge and steps back closer to the net with the foot that is closest. I can defend her getting close to the net, but then she turns to the feeder and jumps and splits - thus always ending up close to the net. The second way is when the shooter stays quite stationery under the net, a couple of foot off the back line and holds her space there. she receives the ball by a large over head pass, so she steps back slightly on one leg to receive the ball from the feeder. what would be the best way to defend all the large overhead long passes to her, or draw her out? any help or some ideas i can try would be great! thank you :-)

I coach a group of 10 girls (8 yrs old) in the grade above netta (we call it Sub-minis but same rules as netta) I rotate them 4 def 2 c 4 attack (eg 3/4 each or 1/2 if they are center) I am having problems teaching them spaceing and who to lead into which spot etc. After our game on the weekend I thought I'ld try a different tack (was a bit loathed to do this as they may take it too literal) but I am wanting to split the court into "zones" for each position as a guide for them eg Center gets the middle "track" right down the court WA one side GA the other etc. has anyone tried this, will it make it worse any further suggestions......?????
How does a defender know where to judge her 3 foot defensive stance when shooters opt for a simultaneous split landing?
Can anyone assist me with some drills to perfect the split landing in the circle. I have a couple of shooters who are moving their grounded foot and getting stepping calls. How to we perfect the 2 grounded feet split landing.Cheers Kristy
I have 10 players and need to roster them equally, does anyone have a formula

In the circle when shooter keeps splitting to get closer and continues to hit the defender in the ankle with their split foot is this ok? I've heard many times that you need to give the player space to land but this player just keeps splitting and actually hitting me in the ankle with their foot because I don't even have time to move :(
Does anyone have any advice on how to mark a shooter once they have done a split landing?
