I have thoroughly enjoyed using your site to help me with my coaching plans for my under 9's netball team.
I'm training for the State League/U17 tryouts next year and I want to know what abilities the really good GSs have, like clean breaking within the circle, high shooting goal percentage etc. Does anyone have any exercises/drills that I would be able to do by myself or with one or two people to build up skills like breaking? Does anyone have any training tips on Channels?
I am keen to learn some of the team warm-up's that the more advanced / elite teams use. I am not interested in the individual ball work or individual fitness but the whole group type of activities. For example Worker1 and worker2 in the shooting circle, Thrower 1 and Thrower 2 are at the third points outside the circle W1 passes ball to T1 who passes ball back to W1 who is moving towards the ball and re-offering W1 passes ball to T2 and then drives to receive ball from T2 close to shooting circle. W2 does te same thing I don't know how to put this drill into actions and I am sure that there are other coaches out there like me. Please share some of the more advanced warm-up team drills with me.
Hi, Wondering if any one can clarify the ruling for shooting partners screening in the goal circle? Our GA has screened effectively so far this season but was pulled by the umpire today when screening the GS? She hadn't contacted either defender, and was at 90cm distance, so we were left a little confused?? Is there a set distance they need to be away from their shooting partner?? She was told she was too close and a penalty pass given to the defender. Advice greatly appreciated %3A)
I need shooting drills for around the circle to help my team on weekends. I don't want drills that have nothing to do with moving the ball around the circle and shooting. I want shooting set ups for game day please.
Is there a session plan for the above, if not can you make some suggestions
What type of 'tricks' can we use? I coach u/10 's and they want to things like the WD and GD defend GA of other team and C hold/keep the WA of the other team,any other suggestions that I can use please? Asked using Sportplan Mobile App
Hi guysSo Iâm having a isssue with my GA and WA coming up way too high on our GK transitions. I keep telling the girls that they canât cross that transvers line so soon, let your teammates GK, GD, WD & C bring the ball down as your making there space crowded and making it a lot harder to for GA to get in the shooting circle. If a WA is holding the ball on the edge of a shooting circle and is waiting for the shooter to move closer to the hoop whilst her legs are in a split position before passing her the ball then passes the ball to her as she is now closer where does the defender have to defend from.

A player is in her goal third and has throw in from outside of court, she passes straight into shooters circle. Is this legal or not.

What a fantastic tool. The Chalkboard and session tools make an unbelievable difference in making training plans in both time and organization. I will be instructing all of my assistant coaches that this tool must be used for all sessions during the season, so that we may build a club coaching resource library.
I can't get enough of the Sportplan, It has given me back the enthusiasm i was starting to lose. My girls are so keen and are ready at 14 to take the next up in their game. Sportplan will help no end.
