Hi, my team is having issues breaking a defensive zone where the GD and GK sit high in our attack end and play an area rather than players, we tried manning up on them but just crowded the attack end and didn't work?  If we lob over them the other defender drops back and picks up the intercept, same when we pass to the corners.  Any advice will be gratefully received! So i'm coaching a group of year 8 students who have little knowledge about netball and the skill i have to teach is positional play and i have no idea what to do as a practice drill and modified game ?

I have a group of 14-16 yrs who have the potential to be very good netballers. Their basic skills are brilliant but they are lacking strength on the ball & when being marked. Can anyone offer an opinion on how i can toughen them up? Thank you!

We have two tall goalkeepers which hold the space, does anyone have a game plan which suit two keepers who play similar games? They lack footwork and movement, and this needs improving!

Could enlighten me on some helpful tips or tricks on passes to the "D" and within between the mid court to the shooters. Also on some drills regarding their footwork since that was one of the weaknesses that we found. Mistake on stepping and not being able to maintain balance.

Ive got 2 girls that have never played before and they keep driving to catch the ball into the thrower's space, i've tried to tell them to move out the space and even spent a whole training session teaching the team how to use space on the court but they still keep trying to catch the ball next to or just in front of the player, does anyone know any drills that encourage driving away from the ball and down the court away from the thrower?

I like the idea of teaching set plays to stop my girls swarming the ball, but wasn't sure what set plays to use! Are there any on this site or can anyone share their favourite easy ones for 8/9 yo's

Hi Everyone I've been playing defence for a long time now, and only last Saturday did I start to play centre. It was during our warm up on that day, (before our game) when my coach told me that I would be playing centre. I agreed to do it, but the problem was that the other team was a really good and very fit team. I struggled a lot durig the game, and i felt like i was dying the whole time! Also because I had never played centre before I didn't know how to feed the ball into the goal circle. I also don't know how to defend on the goal circle. My centre was penalised for stepping in the centre circle - she took her centre stance and after the whistle was blown she stepped out with one foot. I didnt think a centre had a 'landing foot' at a centre pass, providing both feet are in the circle when the whistle blows, but the umpire said when she returned to the circle she put her left foot in first so that became her landing foot even though play had not been started. I told her just to stay in the circle but I would like to know if the umpire was correct or if she had it wrong

I am Father coaching my Daughters Netball Team & I wanted to use a different set up when Taking the Centre Pass to Start ,so I need to know where the GA,WA,WD & GD are allowed to stand when a Centre pass is being taken?DO they need to stand at the line as normal or can I change it up a bit?-Say one player up at line in the very centre of line and one player standing or running around behind in the centre of their Third?? Any help with this idea would be greatly appreciated...& thanks in advance

How do I break a zone defence, set up over our defence transverse line and dropping back into the centre third?

they are shooting from too far away and are missing a lot of goals Do I take them back to basics? they are 12 year old girls. We lost the grand final by 3 goals and there has been a team change for the Spring season.
