I have thoroughly enjoyed using your site to help me with my coaching plans for my under 9's netball team.
i have been set a task to come up with a 6 week training program for a netball player, with the main aim to increase their endurance levels. i have planned for 3 sessions per week resulting in 18 sessions all together and i was wondering what sort of drills are appropriate to use so that there is a noticeable increase in endurance levels without having to make the player just literally run around for 40 mins a session. please help??
Hi I'm looking for some drills that focus on change on pace, is there anything that you can suggest?
Hi Please help me, My Daughter played GS most of the time - last year the coaches played with her on several position in field, This year she plays GA but she seems to be taking to long to come open or she is to fast, and the defenders picks up on her movements and it's position overturned... How can I help her with timing?
I need help, I can't figure out any cone drills or warm ups. Mainly looking towards footwork, fitness and changing direction.
I need some training tips to help girls with landing and foot work?
What drills are best to help slow down the pass, in other words use the 3 seconds allowed. To help players reposition for the next pass. Training is too fast a pace. Asked using Sportplan Mobile App
does anyone have a getting in front drill for an U12's team
Hi everyone, I have a few girls in a pretty strong under 13 team who start dropping balls when the pace gets fast and furious. The main issue seems to be trying to turn and look to where they are going to pass before they've got their hands firmly on the ball. Anyway have worked on drills that slow things down but this seems to go by the wayside as soon as their is another fast and furious game. Anyone got any thoughts? thanks Rebecca
Does anyone have any tips or drills to help slow down the speed of a game? My 14b side are rushing their play and as a result silly mistakes are being made. I have looked on this site and tried google but cant find anything.
My 2017 season has just finished with my 13B team and I want to start making some session plans for next year now as I will be busy with work beginning of next year. The girls really need to do fitness and I know they enjoy it too which is great. If anyone has any suggestions please leave a comment.
Hi, I have a player who sustained a torn ligament injury in her ankle 3 weeks ago. Her physiotherapist has said she can return to light training. But I'm not sure what that means. Do I just let her do all the drills and rest her when it starts to hurt? Or should I adjust the drills? I'm just not sure. She is a player who always gives more than 100% and is itching to get back. But I really want to manage her injury properly. I'm not playing her in this Saturday's game or in next week's game (although she won't like it) and then I'll slowly get her back in the game 1 quarter at a time. Does anyone have any suggestions for what constitutes a "light training"?
I organise a ladies netball group of varying abilities but mostly beginners. Despite constantly telling them to slow their play down, they are determined to pass the pall on as soon as its in their hands often resulting in sloppy passing. Any suggestions on how to slow the pace down and hopefully, improve their passing?
