we had two different umpire opinion's last game about the defender placing her hand on the ball to prevent the shooter from being able to shoot.one umpire stated this was contact and that the defender is not allowed to do this, but the other umpire stated that as the defender was the required 3 feet away she can place her hand on the ball
Some umpires blow every ball that's bounced into hands - is this correct?Some umpires allow the girls to bounce the ball as long as they are not gaining ground up the court. Does anyone have a clear definition of how to umpire this rule?

Iâm starting my second year of umpiring but Iâve never fully understood what counts as a âReplay ballâ specifically, how many times does a player bounce the ball with one hand for it to count as replay ball, or if a player puts down the ball how many seconds before they can pick it back up if they can? What a fantastic tool. The Chalkboard and session tools make an unbelievable difference in making training plans in both time and organization. I will be instructing all of my assistant coaches that this tool must be used for all sessions during the season, so that we may build a club coaching resource library.
