I have thoroughly enjoyed using your site to help me with my coaching plans for my under 9's netball team.
Hello, I am part of a netball team who have just entered to play in the North Kent Netball League. As part of the League rules we need to have an umpire per team but currently none of the ladies are qualified. We desperatly need an umpire and a coach if there is anyone willingly to help us out. We are army wives and are stationed @ the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich. Appreciate any help and advise. Florence e-mail %3A ...link in profile...
I have a GK who is miles taller than most of her opponents but she never gets intercepts or rebounds as she is just too nice and slow off the mark. How do I make her more hungry for possession and to get her to more agressive but in a good way
Is they any drills i can implement at training for chatter boxers and the team forgetting the basic skills in a game of netball. i.e. defending their players through the game, foot work, throwing a ball to team members getting in fron t of the players , no even talking to each otheretc Its very frustrating when theses girls are 13/15 year olds and are lazy .
I assistant coach a year 5 team who have horrible core strength and they can not do planks and apparently 'sit ups are too easy' and they can't do push ups. What can i do to give them more core strength??
My GD was do face marking in a game and doing a fantastic job at blocking the GA entering the circle and not being able to shake her off, the umpire for the other team repeatedly called her for intimidation. To me it did not appear to be intimidation and the player herself umpires and sees this in many of the high level games. She is not pushing, no arms are used in fact it is the other players pushing into her. Is this intimidation I thought that was a pretty tough call. What constitutes as intimidation?
I coach a team of 14/15 year old girls who a friends outside of school as well as on the court, however they don't work well as a team and I want to do some sort of team building to improve their talking on the court and overall help them to work better on the court.
What's the best way to beat a zone defence
I am starting to coach a new U12's team this year with a friend. What are some fun and creative drills that will get them used to a coach they don't know?
under 12's team of 9 do i still play them in all positions
Are the rules for Sub-Juniors that same as those for Juniors or Netta? Haven't got our rule books as yet and have our first training session this week! Any advise appreciated!
My teams are getting a bit older now and watching ANZ challenge and Aus NZ games the way the defenders defend or block has certainly changed. The defenders now have their backs to the attackers arms out wide what we used to say was airplane arms which would be picked up as obstrution. In the circle the defender is between goal and player at the edge still with back to the player and side shuffles with arms out wide blocking the shooter moving into the circle. Is this not obstruction or are they doing something that does not constitute an obstruction call. Netball is certainly changing quickly in the way it is played
I have my first training session with 14yr old girls as their coach coming up. I've never coached anything before but know the game of Netball really well and love it, and, if someone doesn't coach them, they won't be able to play. My biggest concern is relating to these girls - it'll drive me crazy if they don't take it seriously and try their best. Does anyone have any advice on what I should (or shouldn't) say to them on the first night? I don't want them mucking around, but I want them to enjoy the season too! H
my team always sit down and they never want to run so what do I do. we lose nearly every game and they blame the coach but its their own fault
They sometimes mess around and won't listen.
Hi I have a new team of 7/8 year olds and we have one very weak player that doesn't move or listen nor catch the ball. Any advice? I need to play her in all positions as they move around to learn them all but feel she needs to learn one at a time. She says she just wants to shoot but that's difficult when she can't catch. Other players aren't passing to her either as she doesn't movebinto position. Any advice would be great! The rest of the time are thriving!! Asked using Sportplan Mobile App

What are some good things to say to a team who are losing by a fair amount at halftime.?? They are 12 years old. How can i get them to keep motivated & not give up??
Hi all.....Just curious on how everyone approaches a pre-game team talk and any suggestions you might have for a group of 17 year olds? Thanks, Lyn
i have begun to coach an under 11's team and they don't talk to each other or work as a team and i was wondering if there was any good tips to get them to do so?
What to say to the team at half time to keep them motivated?
