Netball: netball one on one

I have a trick I use during my cente pass. the centre just places the ball on the ground after the whistle ha blown and then the WD comes up from behind and picks up the ball and plays. This has caused quite a stir and some umpires then punish my team. What is the rule and can we use this trick? Thank you! Ronel

We recently chose the teams for netball at my school, i tried out for the junior pro team because everyone as in my team players say i'm good and that i will get in. But I did not get in i didn't get in the a's either im in the b's. I have the speed, i can shoot sometimes and I have really good defence. What am I doing wrong. netball is my life and I really want to get on the pro team because its the best and they travel to play netball and they play a lot of games which i love. Also after every game my right ankle aches and evrypart of my body aches, stretching doesn't help me what else should i do? Please help me find maybe what im doing wrong that the judges can see.

How to do a roster to rotate 10 netball players

Hi i am new to teaching and im teaching netball to year 5. I have never taught this in my life! Please Help! Do you have to teach the full game or do can you play in mini teams eg 4 groups of 6 without using bibs and positiions. I only have 4 weeks to teach it and they are still practising passing and catching skills, can anyone help please?

Help me please, I am coaching 11 yrs and have one member of my team who is making nasty comments towards most of my other team members, before I am forced to raise this issue with her parent (who is never in attendance, only drop off and pick up, and I dont think she would be the easiest parent to deal with either) I am hoping someone can give me some ideas on how to deal with this, should I ask her to sit out or should I try to include her more to force a better relationship, when I have asked her if we can make an effort to play as a team she is clearly telling me, Its not her fault and that she is reacting to others, but i know this is not true, I dont think she will except she is doing anything wrong, if fact she is my biggest trouble maker when it comes to talking, not litening and being disrespectful, to me her team and once even an umpire (at training) HELP PLEASE its upsetting my girls %3A(

I have found that my players worked well as a group and also really enjoyed a Quiz about Netball (both rules and history of netball in general)but I have run out of questions, I usually only finish our training sessions with one question for each member of our team and use any the following week that they got wrong so they are learning at the same time. I have a 13 yr girl in my team who has broken her wrist the last two sessions.(one on the court, one off) What is the rule regarding her wearing a wrist guard during the game? THe first game of the session, last week, the umpire wasnt going to let her on, but the other team allowed it.

My daughter has just started playing netball what are some good one on one skills for me to do with her? She is 11.

Within our team we have a player that has been in the team from 9/un. We now play open age 15/un and it is way above her skills and abilities. She has difficulty with training and is guaranteed to to cry at most sessions. I have spoken to her mother to encourage her to try and I have spoken to the player. I have asked her if she is happy within the team etc also asked why she plays and what she gets out of it. She always answer that she doesnt know but she is happy. I've just recovered form an ankle injury after 4 weeks without any netball. i was wondering how i should get back to netball, because i often find myself wondering if i will still be good at attacking and defending and all the other things you need as a player. Should i take it easy on the first week of training? What if i'm not good enough for the games we have on Saturday??

I am coaching 10 & 11yr old girls for the 2nd year purely because no one else wanted to do it - I've never even played netball and this site helps me every week, invaluable and we see tangible results. 1st year we won comp and championship, this year came 2nd in comp, champ starts this Sat. Two of the girls have told me their mums are changing them from this school team to another club (the one that won) next year 'cause "the coaching's not good enough for their child". All this teaches their child is that if your team isn't winning, go to another - forget about loyalty. Sometimes it difficult to take this on the chin. Any advice?

I am coaching a team of 8-9yr olds one of which is deaf. I am having problems getting anything to help me with this. Also I am wanting to print off some simple warmup drills eg basic run to first third walk back knees up walk back etc but have picturs for her aswell, but the session planner is more advance than this- I am wanting to do the same warm up for the start of each training and game. Any help ould be fantastic!!!
