Backline Pass Progression Atta...

5+ players, 1 ball, half court space.1. One player sets up near baseline as the feeder with the ball.2. All other players (workers) set up near third line behinf eachother.3. Workers drive forward and receive a pass from the feeder, they pass back, peel to the right and join the back of the line. Progression 1: Players alternate the side they peel out to. Progression 2: Working players peel out as they were but then cut back into the midline to receive another pass. Worker passes back to the feeder.Progression 3: Two workers drive out together. One will get a pass from the feeder. They will then peel out and drive towards the midline to recieve a long pass.Progression 4: As with progression 3 but with one defender in the mix. Progression 5: Backline pass. One worker to fake a drive. Another to pop out to recive a pass from feeder at backline. Another worker to drive foward and recieve pass to the finish with the first fake driver recieving a pass over the halfway line.

Sometimes the ball is delivered near a line. These drills can help with ball handling skills and balance.1. In partners, one feeding one working. Worker is to stay stationary and receive passes from the feeder in an arching movement. Worker is to stretch to reach the ball and extend as far as they can.2. Partners work along the baseline. Worker to have one foot on the line. Passer to deliver a ball outside of the court, worker to recive the ball whilst stay inside the court. 3. Worker runs along base line and recives a pass on the go. Passer delivers the pass just outside the court. Worker to recieve the ball at a stretch and pass back to feeder.

Driving Onto The Ball Movement...

Set up: one third space, one ball between two, cones (one between two).One partner to be standing on the third line with the ball facing the baseline.Other partner starts on the baseline, drives out to cone (about halfway down the third), turns and drives back to the baseline. Turns again and accelerates to partner who is holding the ball. Play should recieve pass before the cone.

Depending on your team's age/ ability you can choose to do the simple course (in blue) or the advanced one (in red).Players all line up on the baseline and must run out to each line (starting with closest first) and upon reaching it turn back to the baseline and then out the next line.

AUDIO DISCRIPTION ONSet up: 1 ball, one third space, 1 feeder in between 2 lines of partners.Two players to drive out straight from baseline to top of the circle (approx.) they turn and drive out on a V to the side channels where the feeder passes ball to one of the drivers. The driving player who did not receive the ball is to cut back to the top of the circle (middle channel) and receive pass from their partner. The partner now without the ball cuts back into the middle channel to receive a straight pass from their partner.Ball is returned to stationary feeding player.

Equipment: 2 balls, half court space, 6+ players.4 players stand as posts in a square as set out in video. Approximatly half way down 1/3 and near halfway.2 other players, the workers, start on the baseline with the balls, one each. Workers pass ball out to first posts on a diagonal and follow the pass to recieve a short pass from first post.Workers then pass straight on to the second posts and follow the pass. Second post players toss a high ball for the workers to catch. Workers stay put and the second post players run down court to recieve a long pass to the point of the first posts.First posts move down and will become the workers in the next round.

Get into 3's with one ball Set up 4 cones approximately 4-5 meters wide and 2-3 meters high One player will be the feeder and stand approximately 2-3 meters in front of the conesOne player will be the attacker and will start centrally behind the cones and the other player will be the defender and will start centrally in front of the cones The attacker will move between the cones running out wide and forwar to the cones closer to the feeder The feeder can only feed the ball when the attacker is at either front cone The defender must try to intercept the ball The defener must get 4 successful interceptions (2 each side) before they can switch out

Three stationary feeders assembled as a triangle facing the shooting circle (two either side of circle and one at the transverse line). Description:Players on base line: Player closest to feeder passes the ball to standing feeder at side of circle. Both players drive out from base line. Player who passed the ball drives around the feeder who was just passed to (diagonal drive). Other player drives towards the stationary feeder near transverse line (straight drive), they need to prepare to receive a pass. First feeder catches and delivers a pass to the forward driving player before they get to the stationary feeder.The driving player with ball now passes ahead to the stationary feeder at the transverse line. The first initial driver has driven around first feeder and aims for a cross court straight drive to the final feeder.Stationary feeder at transverse line delivers a pass to the initial driver which will be received mid court. Initial driving player passes to the last stationary feeder in front of them and continues to drive around them.Other driving player would have driven around the transverse standing feeder and drives straight back towards base line and will receive a pass from the last stationary feeder midcourt before sending the last pass to the other driving player.

Delivering the ball midcourt through to the circle edge/shootersSet up: Half court, two balls, 5+ players1 player standing on base line, another player with the ball standing around the third line. Description:Note: The video shows the drill being played out with 2 groups of players, you could just focus on one group i.e. 1 line, 1 V driver. The description is based on one group. Player on base line near shooting post, V drives towards court edge and receives a pass from the player in the line with the ball. Player who passes the ball drives directly to the circle edge in a straight line and receives a pass from the player who has driven out on the V. Player who had initially drove out now drives into a position under the hoop to receive a pass from their player and put a shot up.

Players stand in 2 lines, with a feeder in front of each line. Players pass the ball out to their feeder and then swap sides (going in front or behind the other passing player) to receive the return pass from the other feeder. Players receive the pass from the feeder and then pass to the next players for them to go again.

When the feeder calls "turn" or "go" both workers turn and drive towards the ball in anticipation to catch the pass. The feeder can choose either players to pass the ball to.This can be set up with two sets of workers and the feeder can alternate between each set of partners.

Set up: Full court space, 4 x mini hurdles, 8x short ladders, 10x cones.Players are divided into 2 groups. Players start at baseline.Two players, from the front of each line begin by jumping over the mini hurdles (set up at right angles to each other).They then run to ladders set up in a cross formation. Action 1: Forward steps into each square.Action 3: Left turn: Forward steps into each square and backwards to return to the middle. Action 3: Right turn. Steps in and out of squares both directions to the middle.Action 4: Stright weave with both feet in each square. Players run towards cones set out in a zig zag formation across the middle third space. Players run from cone to cone in a zig zag direction.The focus is on taking off the outside foot. Players sprint to the end baseline then turn and sprint back to where they came from.

Set up: 1 ball, 4 cones, 1 third area, 6+ players.Three cones are set up in an arrow formation with 2 at the base. A player stands on each of the cones. Remainder of players are in two lines at the bottom of the arrow behind the two cones. Ball starts at Player A (left line). Player A passes to feeder 1 (first cone on the left). Feeder 1 passers to player B while Player A runs around feeder 1. Player B passes to feeder 2 then runs around the feeder. Feeder 2 passes to player A who receives the ball in the middle of the diamond. Player A passes to feeder 3 then runs around the feeder. Feeder 3 passes to Player B who has driven from feeder 2 and receives the ball in the middle.

Netball: Numbers Game - Quick ...

Have two evenly numbered teams lining up on either side of the netball court. To start the drill call out a number. Upon hearing the call the first players in the queue must run out (in the image 5 players from each team must run). All players must touch their base line then run into the middle to try and be first to receive the ball. Whichever player is the first to cross their transverse line receives the ball from the coach and their team is attacking, the other team is defending. The aim is to get pass and move down the court to score a goal. Once completed, the players go to the back of the line in their respective teams, and you call out another number to start the game again.

Receives a pass from the defending player in the circle.Player from top left corner (B) drives straight into the court to receive a pass from the sideline player. Hi, I am a new A Reserve netball coach this year and wondering if anyone had a few set plays for a defense throw in, by this I mean a side line throw in or a base line OUTSIDE the goal circle. very hard. And if anyone could help me with a gameday warm up for 8-9 girls, including goal shooting please and thanku
