I have thoroughly enjoyed using your site to help me with my coaching plans for my under 9's netball team.
How do I set a defensive zone (ie GA WA C WD GD) and teach the girls to defend the zone they are in and not go for the ball?
How do you train to get past a zone defence. Kind regards Madeleine
Hi all, A question re combatting a centre third zone. What is the best way for players to combat a zone in mid court, and still move the ball into attack effectively, please?
I have 10 players and need to roster them equally, does anyone have a formula
I coach 16 and 17 yr olds, so they are more than capable. I have one girl who already knows what do but her explanations are terrible and I dont know how to explain it to the rest of the team.
How do you fairly and evenly manage a team with 10 players without offending and upsetting people? How do you compile a roster or game plan to accomodate everyone, and what can you do to avoid upset around finals time?
Can a shooter or defender stand under the goal ring with arms raised waiting for shot to be taken if they are within 3 feet of opposition player. They are not defending the player taking the shot. eg: GA was taking shot, GD was defending the shot. GS was standing directly in front of GK with her arms raised waiting to see if shot was to be rebounded.
I have a team of mixed age girls from year 4 to year 5. 7 of the players are playing together for 2nd or 3rd season together with 2 of these players having low ball and motor skills. 3 of the players are in their first year, 1 of which demonstrates good ball and motor skills, the other two with beginner skills. What is the best way to rotate the players for games to ensure they are all developing? The section we are playing in does not require mandatory position changes at half time, although I have been doing this to develop their overall skills, is this right? Thanks in advance, Mel
