How do you advise your team as Coach when they come up against a rough and agressive team?  What is the best way to cope with rough play. Thanks

HELP Quarter time break talks

I have found I tend to repeat myself a lot when it comes to the break times. I actually had a mental block in what to say in one game at 3 quarter time & felt like a real fool. I feel I am letting the girls down. I guess my nerves kicked in.My team is a mixed bag of skills, they are 15, 16 year olds & we haven't won many games due to having to teach half the team basic skills to break bad habits. Yet I can't advance the skilful players. I do work on a positive mind etc as I find some don't have confidence in their ability. I haven't been trained as a coach, I look on sites like this one for help. I use to coach 4 years ago primary age teams & we were very successful but we grew together over the years. With the teenagers & a different school I have found it more challenging & feel I maybe out of my depth & don't want to let the girls down.Does anyone have advice for me. thanks

How do I get over my mental rut and self doubt when shooting?

Two months ago I started playing netball again after having my baby. Pre baby I was a good goaler, always got my shots in no matter where I was in the circle. First few games back I did okay with my movement and my shooting was pretty good considering also. Then one game I was really off with my shots, ever since then every single time i play, I over think and doubt my shooting. As a result I miss the ring completley and therefore fall more into this mental block. How do I get over this and get my ‘flow’ back? Asked using Sportplan on Mobile

Can lack of sleep affect netball performance

I had a netball game on Saturday and i slept around 10 pm the night before. When I woke up i felt sleepy, and not energized. I think i was slow on my feet when it came to the game. I did not play at my usual level of performance. can lack of sleep affect performance in netball? should i sleep earlier next time? BTW, my game was at 8:30 am so I had to wake up at 6 am.thanks.

rough play

Hi, i have a group of 16 year old girls who are playing c2's this season, we have just made finals but will be playing extremly rough teams. the girls have done very well not to take it to heart and keep pushing. However they are so small and tend to get beat up by the bigger and much older players. im hoping for advice on how to play (esspecialy in the ring) around them, as they are too small to push back or hold their own ground. thank you :)

What a fantastic tool. The Chalkboard and session tools make an unbelievable difference in making training plans in both time and organization. I will be instructing all of my assistant coaches that this tool must be used for all sessions during the season, so that we may build a club coaching resource library.
