Teenager new to coaching... Suggestions welcomed

Hi all, My daughter is about to start coaching for the first time and it's expected she'll have a group of 10 years olds in C or D grade. I'm struggling to remember what her capabilities were at that age and she's looking for some suggestions for drills to start off with until she gets a handle on where they're at. Is anyone currently working with kids around that age/ability bracket? Does anyone know if any of the weekly drills are aimed at beginners/introductory levels? From the ones I'm seen, they're aimed at an intermediate level so I'm assuming some of the games would be OK, but most of the drills would be beyond their capability. Thanks in advance.

9 players - 4 girls off half a game each week or 2 players off per quarter? I coach a 10 yrs team in a very close A grade competition. There are 9 players therefore 2 reserves are needed each quarter. Is it best to have 4 girls off for half a game each week, less disruption to team but best players are then off for half a game - girls are off every second week, or 2 girls off each quarter, more disruption but best players are only off for quarter of a game, girls are off every week. I am required to give all players equal time on the court throughout the season. Thank you.

2 weeks away from semi, girls ...

My girls are 2 weeks away from the end of competition and they have made the semi finals. they are 13 and are C grade but they dont have that motivation and drive that is needed for a semi final match. i have been trying for a few weeks to get them pumped ready for the game but they just dont seem to get it or understand what a big deal it is and realise that all there hard work has payed off. i have been told by rep coaches that the reason they dont care is because they are 13 and C grade by i dont want to just give up on them. can anybody help or give me some tips that might help my girls.

Rules question: Causing contac...

After my opponent release the ball can I use my body but not arms to block in front of her so as to prevent her from going to the front?( In centre third) If the opponent just run ahead and crash on the defender, is it a contact?Or in fact the action of the defender preventing the attacker to run towards goal third is obstruction or a rule called" causing contact"?

Coaches talk/speech at the bre...

Coaches talk/speech at the breaks. I am contious of not saying the same things all the time. "watch the passes....dont step...watch your player" You cannot be "deep and meaningful" to the girls. Any thoughts? I know comments should be specific about the the game but at times i get lost in the match supporting and not analysising. If am about to tell a girl off I use the "sandwich techique" two pieces of bread and the meat in the middle - that being a "good" 1st and the bad thing to improve on and then finish with a good comment. The bad thing she did is the meat and the real meesage.

What a fantastic tool. The Chalkboard and session tools make an unbelievable difference in making training plans in both time and organization. I will be instructing all of my assistant coaches that this tool must be used for all sessions during the season, so that we may build a club coaching resource library.
