I have thoroughly enjoyed using your site to help me with my coaching plans for my under 9's netball team.
My Daughter is currently playing netball two times a week and training once plus some work at school in other sports, she is twelve years of age but is taller than some of the other girls but they are now catching up but my daughter does not know how to jump because she has been taller. How can I get her to change this through a training routine? She is a good player and I suspect she could be a lot better if she improved her fitness but I am loath to push her developing body.Any suggestions please?
Does anyone have some good rebounding drills for GD/GK
I'm a GS playing indoor netball (ie with astroturf and nets around the court). I'm planning on trying out for superleague and state next year, and I want to get some good training in. My local centre have said I can practice there any time I want. I can practice shooting by myself, but the areas I feel I need to work on are catching quick passes, catching angled/spinning passes off the net and breaking free of different style defenders. Any ideas on how I can work on these skills by myself?
How do we get taller girls to jump?
Does anyone have drills for working on elevation. My girls are Year 7 and 8's - 11 and 12 year olds. Getting their legs stronger for jumping???
Hi I am a first year coach of a 9 and under team.My girls are struggling with the concept of running to space and receiving a pass on the move while advancing the ball to our attacking third. It seems no matter how hard i try to implement drills for passing at practice, come game day the girls still group together and call for the ball standing still. Any ideas/drills anyone could suggest would be greatly appreciated. Regards Mark
Help! 2 of my girls (adults) keep stepping, what are some good drills to teach them not to step?
my girls are always stepping and I need some drill to help them with that
I coach U11's who seem to expect the ball to fall into their hands rather than jump for it. No matter how much I teach them, they simply don't jump!
cannot seem to get some players to stand still or not pick up landing feet when they get the ball. Blowing them for stepping normally get them into telling me about all the mistake everyone else is makings
HiCan a shooter rebound the ball( from a backline throw in) off the post and jump onto court, catch the ball from the post rebound and then shoot? It seems crazy to me but I have been told that this is now allowed?
Am having real issues with our girls stepping. Other than the "Ice Cream" drill, does anyone have any ideas on how to tackle this? We were lucky this week as we had 2 umpires that didn't call it much - but this won't continue (i hope)
Hi, I play netball frequently, but I am trying out for some new teams and I want to know of some good one player netball drills. I have a wall I use and a hoop. I don't really want to use the ring as much because I wanted to trial as a centre player, but anything is helpful.
do you have drills for my defence players in the goal circle especially rebound work
What is the best way to intercept a lob out in mid court and also goal circle?
I'm coaching the very young team yr 1-3 age 6-9 and was wondering what's the best drills to teach them ball skills passing quick and basic rules? Thanks Mikaela

I am new to coaching this year and have a couple of girls who struggle to catch the ball despite 3 yrs of playing. One is quite scared and the other does not have good gross motor skills. Any suggestions on drills or games to improve these?
