What is the best way for a Goal Keeper to defend, especially within the semi circle. ? Should they watch the ball then try to intercept any ball going to Goal Shooter or just mark up their partner?Submitted via email
Does anyone have a drill to encourage under 11's to come forward for a pass rather than asking for the overhead pass all the time as they are 'running away' from the ball in their haste to get to the circle?
What are the best passes when playing against tall players. Beside the bounce pass
What do you do if the opposing team are all tall? This is the first team I have coached netball and so far we have been doing well, but the girls that I coach were playing on the weekend and played a team that were extremely tall. They found it very hard to pass to one another as not only the opposing team tall but very quick. Would you suggest bounce passes? Please help. These girls are only 11 year olds. Thanks
Any drills to get girls to run forward for passes, ie not stand behind players?
How do you get under 11's to come forward for the ball and not to call for the ball when they have a player on them?
Hi My U11 team play against teams that continually use bounce passes, but they struggle to defend against them. I don't encourage the girls' to use them at this age, but I think this is making it hard for them to know what to do. Any help gratefully received. Thanks Charlotte
Can someone please advise me on where can I locate sound information on court systems? Thanks. Wendy
How do I go about playing when we only have 5 players?
How to get players to think about position on court and timing
I. got a very good under 15 team. We are in a situation where we only practise once then we go and play against other provinces so if anyone can give me any good stragies to use in a game to outplay the other teams I will apreciate it. My team is very fast leaners and they concentrate very good.
coaching u13s have 6 good players and 2 that this their first season. For this first half of the season most of their training has been catching and throwing .I find that they are not improving so on game days the other players are reluctant to pass it to them as they either drop the ball or pass it to the opposition.I am struggling to know what to do
What are some good things to say to a team who are losing by a fair amount at halftime.?? They are 12 years old. How can i get them to keep motivated & not give up??
I have an U10 team playing in Div 1, we are doing well coming 2nd in the comp. The problem i have is I have 8,9 and 10 year olds in the team as we are a small club. I am looking for Drills to cater all age groups and the girls abilities/skills. There are girls who play beyond their ages, and then girls who cannot catch or throw a ball, (basically 6 of the 9 players cannot do both). They have improved, but i find the skilled players are getting frustrated as there are alot of turnovers due to basic errors, bad passes, stepping, offside etc....any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
What do you do when your people on the different team are fast then you and you can't keep up? Asked using Sportplan Mobile App
to know what i should do and what type of training should i do
Hi I am a first year coach of a 9 and under team.My girls are struggling with the concept of running to space and receiving a pass on the move while advancing the ball to our attacking third. It seems no matter how hard i try to implement drills for passing at practice, come game day the girls still group together and call for the ball standing still. Any ideas/drills anyone could suggest would be greatly appreciated. Regards Mark
Why do interceptions fail, ie. what makes an interception successful and what makes an interception unsuccessful?
