I have thoroughly enjoyed using your site to help me with my coaching plans for my under 9's netball team.
My U14's could not get free on a Goal line throw in. I need practices for Goal Defenders (GD), wing defenders (WD) to get free to receive a pass from the goal Keeper (GK). With the second pass to the centre (C) or back to the GK. Thank you Angie. - submitted by email
Team yellowhas centre pass- but ball not touched in centre third but caught by green team in goal third. Is this a penalty as 1st pass not received in centre third or can play go on?
hi i jut started playing GK for a local netball team and i am struggling abit, im not sure on what i can and cant do, ie jumping and waving my arms etc plz help
Can anyone suggest several backilne pass sequences to get the ball effectively to the centre third. This is for 10 year olds.
coaching u13s have 6 good players and 2 that this their first season. For this first half of the season most of their training has been catching and throwing .I find that they are not improving so on game days the other players are reluctant to pass it to them as they either drop the ball or pass it to the opposition.I am struggling to know what to do
I was watching the silver ferns game last night & noticed the GS stands right up on the line when the opposing team is having their centre pass. Just wondering opinions on that, do you think its to put pressure on WD/GD if the centre passes back, or I guess she is there if there is any mistake made (loose ball possibility). I am just wondering if I try this with my 10/11 year olds. My GS wants more work to do!!!
Help, dad thrown in the deep end - what basic attacking strategies do you use for 11 years olds? They have great skill and have played since they were 5 years old, but still run around like headless chickens, everyone calling for the ball and getting in each other's way. Is there a method to this madness I can teach? Some teams look like they know who is going to pass to who and the ball gets from one end to the other fluidly. HI EveryoneI recently switched from GK AND GD, to WA. I'm finding it difficult to feed the ball into the circle and having confidence in my passing accuracy. I'm also having trouble on getting free for centre pass, especially when the other team has a really good WD. I've only played WA a couple of times so I'm still learning, but I really don't want to let my team down. Thanks all, for the help!
on a centre, why would a GD try force the GA high and wide

What is the best way for GK throwing in to GD from the goal line. I find GD ends up receiving a pass just a short distance from the GK. When we could make so much more of the space. but I can't seem to stop her running straight at the GK. Thanks AP
Is it ok to defend as GK with one leg sticking out behind as a balance? GA complains that my leg flicking into her is stopping her from getting the rebound.
Where should I position players on the court for a throw-in from the backline?
Does anyone have any tactics on how our GS can get around a very tall GK and shoot? The GK is 6ft 5" with very long arms and our GS is 5ft 4"!! Any tips or tactics would be appreciated! Thanks :-) x

Playing ball off post from back line pass
My team recently played against a team where the GK would shake the goal post everytime our shooters would take a shot. She was not picked up for this at all, i believe it was an infringment, maybe intimidation or some type of contact. Can someone advise, is this a viable play, or is it an infringment. It was very obvious, she would only shake the goal post once the shooters had released the ball for a shot, not before so she wasnt leaning on it for support and she kept doing it and was never picked up
