Netball: getting around

What is the best way to stop a team coming down the court that is very fast, playing man on man does not work, they are all used to playing basketball and getting the ball around players, need a way to slow them down, any ideas

i have a question relating to finding a teams gel. i have an equal amount of younger and abit older women. i find the older women are keen to make trainings and comunicate well with me. and the younger are not so keen to learn and are harder to comunicate with. the younger girls are just out of reach of being in the other bracket of players. i would like to see them advance their status of player. especially being young they could really get there if they would only listern with an open mind and at least allow themselves to learn something new. and the older women of my team are harder to teach as they say its hard to teach an old dog new tricks. any surgestions please?

if you are working in the D and intercepting high balls into the GS/GA would this type of defending be classed as stage 2?

We have an amazing team in our grade who is incredibly fast through the court. The GA seems to dominate both mid court and the goal circle. How or what tactics can I teach my defenders (10 year olds) to stop or slow her down?

I am thinking of getting my defences to double team her but wanting to know best way to teach this & also what's the best way of stopping the GA (just getting WD & c to try & block her getting in the ring) any thoughts on best way to beat a tall shooter. I'm coaching u/10's and have an excellent A team, but the B team have learners who haven't been playing netball so long. Does anyone have one or two basic activities, easy to understand (for them) which I can drill them with for passing, defending and getting free, as well as something for the shooters. They are always all over the place (we do practice channels) and really struggle to get free - they run a bit and then just stop to wait for the ball. Anything, even just some advice would be appreciated! :)

I coach 10 and 11 year olds that need quite a bit of work. They still need to build their upper body strength and passing accuracy. I am teaching them to use chest passes as the pass that they should use the majority of the time and use shoulder passes for longer range passes. I find that their shoulder passes are weak and not accurate, but something we are working on progressively. We have an umpire that constantly yells at the kids and demands that they use shoulder passes all of the time and has told me that I am coaching them wrong and that I don't know what I am doing. What are your thoughts on this? I do the best I can as a volunteer coach.

they are shooting from too far away and are missing a lot of goals Do I take them back to basics? they are 12 year old girls. We lost the grand final by 3 goals and there has been a team change for the Spring season.
