I have thoroughly enjoyed using your site to help me with my coaching plans for my under 9's netball team.
I have a group of approx 20 people and I am looking for some tips how to plan out a session with some sort of game at the end? thanks in advance
i'm doing netball coaching as one of my practicals for GCSE PE and ive set myself a few goals such as to improve my confidence to ensure girls enjoy my sessions but what else could I put?
How long do you think 11 to 15 year olds can train for in one session before not gaining any benefit. I was thinking 1hour to 1.5 at the max.I have a wide range of ages in my team this year and want to make sure that the older girls are being challenged enough and the younger ones aren't over doing it.
I am coach of a senior team, all girls have great skills but need new ideas for warm up drills before a game please. I am looking for team warm ups and smaller groups warm ups please. Thanks Kelli
Hi I have coached the same team for 3 years and they are now under 11"s....I have always tried to mix it up and do something different every session to keep the girls interested, but I feel as though we all get a bit lost in trying to keep it different... I would like to have a basic foot skill "routine" and drills that we do every session, so basic skills become second nature. I would then add a different skill session and fun game each week....Is there any experienced coaches out there that do this or does it create too much boredom doing the same thing each week?
Hi, I'm co-coaching an U13 team. The players are a mix of experienced, but mostly inexperienced players, with a couple of players who are really talented (these are two of our inexperienced players). All players are new to each other. The girls won every game at the district grading days and we were upgraded two levels. We are now in round 6 of the competition and the girls have lost every game and we just lost from the team that was below them on the ladder. We've had a couple of injuries and one was quite bad in round 4 requiring surgery which has shaken the girls as well. They are starting to lose heart and their game is deteriorating. How do we keep them motivated?
I have a low grade, 10 year old team (3 new players). I can not get the team out of the habit of bunching and standing with hands in the air. I have tried lots of things, some work, but they tend to revert back to bunching when the pressure is on. Can anyone suggest a simple solution.
What would you consider to be a good 15min warm up before a game in limited space for 11 year olds?
What would a warm up be either before a game or at training
We do warm up pre matches using dynamic stretches & some drills but our first quarter is often our worst - does anyone have any good pre match warm up drills they can suggest as I do t think ours getting the team match ready Asked using Sportplan on Mobile
My school netball team are a bunch of very strong girls, however they always start a game slow. there is only 1 or two players that do all of the work. what can i do???
What are ways you can fire up your team before taking the court? during our warm up we seem pumped and ready to go, but soon as the whistle goes we seem to be extremely flat and make way too many mistakes. we are a strong team but we have to play catch up because of our first quarter. are there certain things we can add into our warm up to make sure we are all ready to go? or does anyone have a good speech that always say before a game starts?
what is you favourite warm up before a game for netball? and ideas?thanks
I am coaching a team of teenagers, who have lost the majority of their games. They are improving and still in good spirits. However I find they start the game really rough, sometimes it continues to go down hill, but often they have a really good second half. How can I get them to start strong? Do I need to look at my warm up???
I have completed my first weekend of this course and soon to do the second which involves planning and running a 20 min session, I don't know where to start, can anyone help who has done this course please
Would love some advice, I am a new coach about to start coaching 7-8 year olds who have never played netball before. I would love any advice you have for a new coach on how to structure the training session, any drills I should start with and fun ways to teach them the basic skills of netball

Also I am wanting to print off some simple warmup drills eg basic run to first third walk back knees up walk back etc but have picturs for her aswell, but the session planner is more advance than this- I am wanting to do the same warm up for the start of each training and game. Any help ould be fantastic!!!
