I have thoroughly enjoyed using your site to help me with my coaching plans for my under 9's netball team.
Hi there, Im coaching my childrens netball team and actually don't know much about netball. I have downloaded the 'Defensive moves to secure possession' plan so we can do some work but I don't understand what 'rolls, forward and back drives and weaves' are, have you got some examples so I can understand what these moves are?ThanksShae
I'm a fast runner and keep getting pulled for footwork as I'm catching the ball whilst running. How can I train myself to jump for the ball?
My team has girls from 12-14 who step and get pulled up all the time. They have been playing for years but can't stop stepping. Does anyone have any drills that might help
hi i jut started playing GK for a local netball team and i am struggling abit, im not sure on what i can and cant do, ie jumping and waving my arms etc plz help
Is they any drills i can implement at training for chatter boxers and the team forgetting the basic skills in a game of netball. i.e. defending their players through the game, foot work, throwing a ball to team members getting in fron t of the players , no even talking to each otheretc Its very frustrating when theses girls are 13/15 year olds and are lazy .
I need some drills to help 8-10 year olds with footwork and ball skills what would you suggest
So i'm coaching a group of year 8 students who have little knowledge about netball and the skill i have to teach is positional play and i have no idea what to do as a practice drill and modified game ?
My WD has worked hard on getting her placement so when the ball is feeding into the circle, she is keeping her WA away and to the side, generally the WA is fed an overhead ball heading towards the the back corner. The WD knows what pass is coming, and it's placement, she feels confident she could challenge more, so need some drills to practise holding her player, but then moving round her opponent at the last moment to try and go for the ball as well as holding.
Good morning to all of you. I have a question about what practice skills you can learn gr1 to gr3 in netball, so that they can still practice it a home with their parents and still enjoy netball. Also some drills for them. I have run out of ideas. Regards Dawnita
Looking for a simple drill to teach Under 9's defensive play without contact
I'm a young coach who is coaching an 11A's team. I find it hard to identify/pick up on the problems within their play. How do you identify these problems in order to fix them? And what are some of these problems (like running flat-footed and release hieght of a pass)? Asked using Sportplan on Mobile

stepping drills
Hi, I have a lady in my team who keeps getting pulled up for footwork (dragging)! i cant get to many matches and she doesnt do it in training, i videoed a game to see what the problem was and it seems that she has a very wide landing stance when on the run, almost as if she needs to take another step, ive tried to encourage her (and done a drill) to land on outside feet and small step footwork patterns etc but nothing seems to be working! Has anyone ever had the same problem?! Any ideas?!?! Sarah %3A)
I need some training tips to help girls with landing and foot work?
cannot seem to get some players to stand still or not pick up landing feet when they get the ball. Blowing them for stepping normally get them into telling me about all the mistake everyone else is makings
I feel that the drill showing an elevated two handed pass, is showing foot work being committed...
