Line drive - through court movement

Set up: One ball, full court, 5+ players. 1. Players line up down the middle of the court, evenly spaced. 2. Ball starts at one end and will simply be passed down to each player. 3. Players have to make a movement and time this with receiving the ball. 4. Player recieves a pass then turns and passes down the line.

Extras

Pass across followed by down the line

2 player in a square ( cones can be used). one player always passes across the area and one always along the outside of the square. each player moves between 2 corners after each pass.

Movement

Pass and Move - Box

The red players around the outside square have a ball each and move anti-clockwise around the box. Red players must make a pass inside to the blue players when they are on a corner and receive the return pass when they reach the half way point down the line. They then play another one-two pass receiving the return pass on the corner of the square.

position lines of players (or a team) down the court in a straight line, preferably in position order. The GK faces the back wall away from the court, throws the ball up in the air, rotates, receives and releases the ball to the next player. The next player up the line drives into space, with a sharp change of direction and also receives, rotates and then releases the ball to the next player up the line.

Warm up - Coach Calls Extras -...

Equipment: Dependant on numbers, one ball between 2, full court area.Players are in 2 lines down the length of the court. One line of players has the ball. The other line stands inbetween these players facing them (i.e. not directly opposite). Coach wil call either number; one, two or three. Followed by either left or right.The number determines the movement. Left or right determines the way the workers drive. If workers drive left they should lead with their left hand to the ball and if they drive right, the right hand should touch the ball. One: Workers drive to either left or right. Tap ball. Drive back on an angle to recieve a long pass.Two: Workers drive and tap either left or right hand. Drive back the same angle with a side switch half way back.Three: Same as two but once workers reach their start point they drive forward and recieve a flat pass from the post.

Intercepting passes down court...

Half the group have a ball each, the other half has to stand tactically in between the two lines. The players with the balls start behind the line and have to try and get across to the other line by using the static players (middle players can pivot on the spot). 1 or 2 catchers have to try and intercept the balls. Players caught out must either sit out or help catch out the remaining players. See how many of the attacking team can get successfully across to the other side!

Set up 4 lines of players down a third. 2 lines at each end, facing each other, 1, 2, 3, 4A1 passes to A2, and runs in front of A2 to receive the ball back.A2 Passes to A1 and runs to in front of where A1 was.A1 passes to A3 and the same happens at the other side. Players join the end of the lines at the other side.

Players stand in a line spaced down the length of the court and the player at the end starts with the ball. When everyone is ready the next person in line runs out to receive the pass. The receiver then pivots and throws to the next person who has run out to receive the pass. Once the ball gets to the other side the ball comes back in the same way.

Equipment: 2 balls, half court space, 6+ players.4 players stand as posts in a square as set out in video. Approximatly half way down 1/3 and near halfway.2 other players, the workers, start on the baseline with the balls, one each. Workers pass ball out to first posts on a diagonal and follow the pass to recieve a short pass from first post.Workers then pass straight on to the second posts and follow the pass. Second post players toss a high ball for the workers to catch. Workers stay put and the second post players run down court to recieve a long pass to the point of the first posts.First posts move down and will become the workers in the next round.

U10's making space and passing the ball early?

Hello all, I have been coaching my u10's currently for 2 years now. They are a fabulous little team i.e. gs holds and defence box out etc however we are never winning games! They are currently playing up a year and after sitting back and watching what is going wrong I had noticed they all seem to be in one area so no-one can drive into a space to receive a direct fast ball. When this occasionally does happen the ball is not released fast enough and consequently intercepted! I was wondering if anyone has an tips on space, driving into space, and early passes! This team could be amazing if we sort this is out! Please help!!!!!!!!!
