Netball: down the court with defend

Who can send me an example of a training session for a A3 team where the training lasts 1 hours from warn up to warm down

I wondered if anyone could give me a rough order of what parts of the game I should focus on with my daughter's 10 year old team for their pre-season and early-season training? I'm tempted to talk to them about positional play but they don't have really firm positions yet so I don't want to confuse them. I've just taken on my daughter's 10 year old team. They are division three and many of the girls played for the first time last year. Their coaching last year was very light. I spent our first session last week working on straight leads and dodges, just simple running onto the ball and throwing in front of the player drills. our coach keeps on telling on as not to play there game. how do we stop playing there game

Would like some advice as to how to coach defenders to defend a shooter who holds to protect space?  Any advice would be appreciated.  Thank you.

How is the best way to defend a GS who is a foot taller than the GK and can hold faily well (and no exageration I have a very short team so putting a different defender wont change much )

Good morning. I need help urgently for a older person. She is playing WD and I don't know how to help her on getting on defense quicker. Thank you in advance.

My WD has worked hard on getting her placement so when the ball is feeding into the circle, she is keeping her WA away and to the side, generally the WA is fed an overhead ball heading towards the the back corner. The WD knows what pass is coming, and it's placement, she feels confident she could challenge more, so need some drills to practise holding her player, but then moving round her opponent at the last moment to try and go for the ball as well as holding.

The 163cm defender is great against regular height girls her age (ie 13) but I need some help with the tall girls (185 cm +). She jumps really well and is constantly with the player. She reads the play well but it is almost soul destroying to see the opposition lob the ball into the tall girl who stands and waits for the shot.

Is it obstruction if the defending player is standing next to the person in possession of the ball with their arms down ie. not attempting to defend or intercept the ball whilst mid-court? There is a lot of mixed messaging from umpires around this rule, particularly if it occurs within goals with some umpires saying as long as you're not putting your hands up to defend the ball or standing in front of them then it is not obstruction to then being called obstruction in instances decribed above.

What is the best way for a Goal Keeper to defend, especially within the semi circle. ? Should they watch the ball then try to intercept any ball going to Goal Shooter or just mark up their partner?Submitted via email

Help... I am new to coaching netball albeit have played for years. My experience in playing comes from being an attacker so trying to work with my defence, is proving tricky. The issue I have is that both my GD and GK face mark. I have tried numerous drills in training however as soon as they get in to a match, they revert back to face marking. When the ball is coming down the court, I encourage them to stay on their toes, side marking and moving in front and round the back however when the GA or the GS moves out, the face marking starts. We have had balls bounce of the backs of heads and all sorts. Does anyone have any tips?  Di

What are the three stages of defending?

I coach 16 and 17 yr olds, so they are more than capable. I have one girl who already knows what do but her explanations are terrible and I dont know how to explain it to the rest of the team.

After my opponent release the ball can I use my body but not arms to block in front of her so as to prevent her from going to the front?( In centre third) If the opponent just run ahead and crash on the defender, is it a contact?Or in fact the action of the defender preventing the attacker to run towards goal third is obstruction or a rule called" causing contact"?
