I have thoroughly enjoyed using your site to help me with my coaching plans for my under 9's netball team.
Any ideas on how to rotate nine players in an under fifteen years team (none of whom want to play defence)??
My girls are 2 weeks away from the end of competition and they have made the semi finals. they are 13 and are C grade but they dont have that motivation and drive that is needed for a semi final match. i have been trying for a few weeks to get them pumped ready for the game but they just dont seem to get it or understand what a big deal it is and realise that all there hard work has payed off. i have been told by rep coaches that the reason they dont care is because they are 13 and C grade by i dont want to just give up on them. can anybody help or give me some tips that might help my girls.
my team always sit down and they never want to run so what do I do. we lose nearly every game and they blame the coach but its their own fault
Hi, does anybody know exactly where the coaches are allowed to stand during a game? I have asked a few people already and they are not 100% sure . It would be great if anyone has the correct answer to this and/or where I could find it? Thanks
Hi there, I coach an under 10 netball team and have rotated the team fairly throughout the season. We have now qualified for finals and am wondering if I should play my strongest team?
What is the best way to rotate 11 girls. Has anyone got a spreadsheet?
My associate coach and I disagree on whether U/10s should play different positions or focus/settle on one, maybe two. I don't want to put the girls in a box at such a young age but I also don't want a Jack of all Trades situation. They are still developing so much that I feel I'll be doing them a disservice by just putting them in the same position every week. The assistant coach says if we move them around we're not going to do as well but that is where the participation vs performance comes in for me. Surely at this age development is more important than winning? No coach likes to lose but I don't want to win at the expense of them experiencing different positions. What do you guys suggest? I have just been given a team of 10 (10yo girls) to manage. As a parent who has not played for a number of years, can you point me in the right direction on this site for position selection for the game. It is an 8 week summer comp and the girls are happy to have a go at all the positions. They play a winter comp and have a proper coach. I have been asked to help as she is not available for this comp
I organise a ladies netball group of varying abilities but mostly beginners. Despite constantly telling them to slow their play down, they are determined to pass the pall on as soon as its in their hands often resulting in sloppy passing. Any suggestions on how to slow the pace down and hopefully, improve their passing?
How to deal with players and parents who dont get much game time during finals. With 12 players (5 excellent) in a competitive u12 s team. Playing the stongest and mixing 2/3 positions between 7/8 players.
Hi. I am a welfare worker at a primary school and had a bit of interest with playing netball in our lunch break once a week. We only have one net so we can only play half court and we have about 10 players.I only know netball through my daughter playing every weekend otherwise I've had zero experience.Do you have any suggestions how to get the girls started? Most of them never had played netball or even seen a game!Thank you

what are some coaching tips for this warm up game
Hi, I'm co-coaching an U13 team. The players are a mix of experienced, but mostly inexperienced players, with a couple of players who are really talented (these are two of our inexperienced players). All players are new to each other. The girls won every game at the district grading days and we were upgraded two levels. We are now in round 6 of the competition and the girls have lost every game and we just lost from the team that was below them on the ladder. We've had a couple of injuries and one was quite bad in round 4 requiring surgery which has shaken the girls as well. They are starting to lose heart and their game is deteriorating. How do we keep them motivated?

âI'm looking at designing a training program for a netball team. It's an assessment piece for HPE at school, and the following factors must be implemented into the program: Ways to improve on Cardio Vascular fitness, muscular power, muscular speed, and agility and co-ordination. The training plan should be 18 weeks in length, incorporating the Preparatory and Competitive Phases of training. I am aiming for the team to 'peak' on the competition day during the 19th week. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
